We are happy to announce that Professor Fadi Aldakheel has been awarded the prestigious Visiting Professorship at the Università degli Studi di Genova!

👨‍🏫 Professor Aldakheel is an accomplished expert in various areas, including material behavior modeling, variational principles, computational solid and structural mechanics, Finite and Virtual Element methods, experimental validation, and solving multiphysics and multi-scale problems. Additionally, his expertise extends to leveraging Machine Learning (ML) for engineering applications.

📚 During the Winter semester of 2023-24, Professor Aldakheel will be joining the Department of Civil, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering (#DICCA) at Università degli Studi di Genova. During his tenure, he will collaborate closely with DICCA scientists and offer a PhD course titled "Machine Learning for Material and Structural Mechanics."

📝 The course will cover a comprehensive range of topics, including the Basics of Machine Learning, Network Architectures, Types of Machine Learning (ML), Linear Regression, Regularization & Optimization, and Computer Lab exercises using Tensorflow program & Google-Colab.
