March for Science - a worldwide demonstration for the value of free science
On Saturday, 22 April 2017, the "March for Science" takes place in 20 cities in Germany. The "March for Science" is a worldwide demonstration for the value of free science. The aim of the US-initiated rally is to put a strong statement against the international trend of an anti-science policy. Berlin, Göttingen, Hamburg: Further information about the "March for Science" and the participating cities can be found here: http://marchforscience.de/auch-in-deiner-st

Rolling Contact Mechanics for Multibody System Dynamics
EUROMECH Colloquium 578 // 10-13 April, 2017 // Madeira, Portugal: Rolling elements play a pivotal role in almost all modern engineering systems characterized by large relative motion between its mechanical components. Multibody dynamics, being the best suited discipline to deal with the computational dynamic aspects of the analysis and modelling of systems with very large motion, requires computationally efficient approaches, and algorithms, to deal with the rolling contact mechanics.
Advanced Problems in Mechanics
June 22 - 27, 2017 // St. Petersburg, Russia: The International Summer School-Conference “Advanced Problems in Mechanics — 2017” (APM) is the forty fifth in a series of annual summer schools held by Russian Academy of Sciences. The main purpose of the meeting is to gather specialists from different branches of mechanics to provide a platform for cross-fertilisation of ideas. The list of problems under investigation is not limited to questions of mechanical engineering, but includes practically a
